Care & Use

Write on clean, dry slate and allow for the lettering to need refreshing after exposure to weather or watering; permanent or waterproof writing is not guaranteed. Insert gently into soft soil, avoiding roots, stones and hard or frozen ground. Do not hammer or force the markers into place, as slate can chip or break. Wipe away soil with a soft damp cloth and dry before writing again. Natural differences in texture, colour and edges are expected. Handle pointed ends and rough edges carefully and keep the markers and pens away from young children.
