Why You’ll Love It

The Maison & White clear glass construction makes the contents of each dish immediately visible without lifting or moving the dish, allowing guests to identify which condiment is in each bowl at a glance and select what they want without disrupting the arrangement on the table — Ceramic and opaque condiment dishes require the contents to be labelled or identified verbally before guests know which sauce or dip is in each dish, and darker-coloured dishes make it difficult to distinguish between similar-coloured condiments such as mayonnaise and soured cream from a distance — the clear glass body of these Maison & White dishes shows the colour and texture of the condiment inside directly through the glass, so ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and other sauces are immediately distinguishable by their appearance without any dish needing to be lifted or labelled.
The Maison & White 5cm wide-mouth opening on each dish allows a standard teaspoon or dessertspoon to reach the bottom of the dish and scoop cleanly without the spoon catching on the rim, and provides enough surface area for guests to dip finger foods directly into the sauce without the dish tipping — Narrow-mouth condiment dishes with openings below 4cm in diameter restrict the angle at which a spoon can enter the dish, making it difficult to reach sauce pooled at the bottom without the spoon handle pressing against the rim, and the small opening makes direct dipping of foods such as chips, bread or crudités awkward because the food cannot be angled into the dish without touching the rim — the 5cm opening of these Maison & White dishes accommodates a standard spoon at a comfortable angle and provides enough surface area for direct dipping without the food catching on the rim or the dish tipping from the contact.
The Maison & White set of 6 dishes provides a separate vessel for each condiment or dip being served simultaneously, eliminating the cross-contamination between sauces that occurs when a single communal bottle or dish is used and a utensil that has touched one sauce is then dipped into another — Serving multiple condiments from shared bottles or a single dish requires guests to use the same serving spoon or dip the same food item into multiple sauces in sequence, which transfers residue from one sauce into another and mixes flavours in the shared container for the remainder of the meal — the six separate dishes in this set allow each condiment to be served in its own dedicated vessel with its own serving spoon, keeping each sauce isolated throughout the meal and maintaining the intended flavour of each condiment from first serving to last.
