The Maison & White 45L Slim Laundry Basket in Grey — 600D Polyester, 53.3x38.6x21.6cm, Fibre Rod Frame Stands Upright, Side Handles, Folds Flat for Storage, 2-Year Warranty

The Maison & White slim laundry basket in grey 600D polyester, with a 45L capacity measuring 53.3cm tall, 38.6cm wide and 21.6cm deep. The slim profile is designed to fit into tight corners, alcoves and narrow spaces where a standard round or square hamper would not fit. Internal fibre rods strengthen the structure and hold the basket upright when empty. Side handles allow the basket to be carried easily when full. The reinforced base board provides a stable, flat bottom. Folds flat when not in use and can be stored in a drawer or cupboard. Also suitable as a toy box in a child’s room or as a general storage basket. 2-year warranty included.

Why You’ll Love It

The Maison & White slim 21.6cm depth allows the basket to be positioned flat against a wall or in a corner without projecting significantly into the room, making it practical in bedrooms, bathrooms and utility rooms where floor space is limited and a deeper basket would obstruct movement through the space — Standard round laundry hampers and square baskets with depths of 35cm or more project substantially from the wall when placed in a corner and reduce the usable floor area around them, which is particularly noticeable in smaller rooms where every centimetre of clear floor contributes to how spacious the room feels — the 21.6cm depth of this Maison & White basket means it projects less than half the distance of a standard round hamper from the wall it is placed against, keeping more floor space clear and making the basket less obstructive when placed in a bedroom corner or alongside bathroom furniture.
The Maison & White fibre rod frame holds the basket open and upright without any contents to support it, allowing dirty laundry to be dropped in from a distance without the basket collapsing inward from the impact the way soft unstructured fabric bags do when empty — Soft fabric laundry bags without an internal frame collapse flat or crumple inward when empty, requiring the bag to be held open with one hand while laundry is placed inside with the other, which is inconvenient during everyday use and means the bag cannot stand independently in a fixed position in the room — the fibre rods in this Maison & White basket maintain the rectangular opening and upright profile of the basket when it is empty, so laundry can be dropped straight in without the basket being held open, and it remains in the same position and orientation regardless of how much or how little laundry is inside.
The Maison & White fold-flat construction allows the basket to be collapsed to a fraction of its in-use depth and stored in a drawer, on a shelf or in a cupboard when it is not needed, making it practical to own multiple baskets for different rooms or laundry categories without dedicating permanent floor space to each one — Rigid laundry baskets made from wicker, plastic or metal occupy the same volume whether they are in use or not, which means storing a spare basket requires a dedicated floor or shelf space equal to the full size of the basket regardless of whether it is being used — the fold-flat design of this Maison & White basket reduces it to a flat panel when collapsed, allowing it to be stored behind a door, in a wardrobe or in a drawer between uses, so additional baskets can be kept available for sorting laundry by colour or room without each one claiming permanent floor space.
