A Stick Hobby Horse in Brown — Polyester Fabric and Poplar Wood, 95cm, Realistic Neighing and Galloping Sounds, Wooden Wheels, Grip Handle, EN71-1-2-3, Recommended Age 2+

A stick hobby horse in brown polyester fabric over a polystyrene foam head on a poplar wood stick, 95cm long overall, with a stick diameter of 1.9cm and a stick length of 67cm. Pressing the horse’s ear activates realistic neighing and galloping sound effects powered by three LR44 batteries included in the package. Two smooth-rolling wheels of 4.7cm diameter are fitted at the base of the stick for indoor and outdoor use across hard floors and smooth outdoor surfaces. Wooden grip handles of 1.9cm diameter and 7cm length are fitted either side of the stick near the top for a secure two-handed hold during play. No assembly required. EN71-1-2-3 safety certified. Approved age 12 months and over; recommended age 24 months and over. Item Ref: 330-194V00BN.

Why You’ll Love It

Ear-activated realistic neighing and galloping sounds respond directly to the child’s touch to reinforce imaginative play without requiring adult input — The hobby horse’s sound activation mechanism triggers realistic horse neighing and galloping audio when the child presses the horse’s ear, creating a direct cause-and-effect response that reinforces the child’s imaginative play scenario by providing an audio cue that matches the galloping action of riding the horse — without requiring a parent to operate a separate remote, press a button on behalf of the child or demonstrate the feature repeatedly, as the ear position is intuitive for a child already holding the horse in a riding position with hands near the head of the horse.
Smooth-rolling base wheels allow the horse to be used on indoor hard floors and outdoor smooth surfaces without scratching or resistance — The hobby horse’s two 4.7cm diameter base wheels allow the stick to roll smoothly across hard floor surfaces including laminate, tile, wood and smooth paving rather than dragging or bouncing the stick base across the floor as the child gallops, reducing the noise and floor surface impact of play on hard flooring indoors and allowing the toy to transition between an indoor living room and an outdoor patio or garden path without the wheels becoming stuck in soft ground or grass.
EN71-1-2-3 certification and poplar wood construction confirm material safety for children aged 2 and over — The hobby horse’s EN71-1-2-3 certification confirms it has been tested against the European toy safety standard’s mechanical and physical properties (Part 1), flammability (Part 2) and chemical properties (Part 3), including limits on heavy metals and harmful substances in the polyester fabric, polystyrene foam and painted or treated wood surfaces — providing documented evidence of compliance with the EU toy safety requirements applicable to children’s products sold in the UK and EU for children from 12 months approved age and from 24 months recommended age.
