The core is 100% EVA foam with a plastic structure and oxford fabric outer cover. The top surface is 10cm wide, matching competition beam width, to allow practise of handsprings, cartwheels, handstands and leaps at the same working width used in competitive gymnastics. The base is 15cm wide with a non-slip finish to keep the beam in position on the floor during use. A hook-and-loop fastener runs the length of the beam to lock both halves in alignment when unfolded and in use. Folded dimensions: 120L x 15W x 13H cm. Maximum weight capacity: 80kg. No assembly required. Suitable for age 3 and above. Item Ref: A50-015V02BU.

Why You’ll Love It

10cm top surface matches the width of a competition gymnastics beam, allowing the user to practise at home at the same working width used in club and competition settings without adjusting technique for a wider or narrower surface — Many floor balance beams sold for home use are wider than 10cm to make balance easier, which means the user develops balance and foot placement habits on a wider surface than they will encounter at a gymnastics club or competition — the 10cm top width of this beam matches the FIG competition standard, so the balance, arm position, and foot placement skills practised on this beam at home transfer directly to performance on a full-height club or competition beam without requiring technique adjustment.

Floor-level design removes the fall height risk of a full-height competition beam while preserving the 10cm working width, making it suitable for independent practise at home by children from age 3 upward without adult supervision for every session — A full-height gymnastics beam at 125cm off the floor requires a trained spotter for most skill-level practitioners and is not suitable for unsupervised home use by children — this floor-level beam at 6.5cm height eliminates the fall height, allowing children to step off safely in any direction without injury risk from a fall, making it appropriate for home practise of balance, footwork, jumps and entry-level skills without requiring a parent or coach to stand alongside the beam for every repetition.

Folds in half to 120x15x13cm for storage, fitting into a wardrobe, under a bed or along a wall in a bedroom or playroom without requiring dedicated gymnastics equipment storage space — A full 236cm beam cannot be stored in most domestic spaces without a dedicated floor area or wall bracket, making it impractical in homes where the beam needs to be put away after each use — folding the beam in half reduces the longest dimension to 120cm, which fits along the back of a wardrobe, under a standard double bed frame, or standing in the corner of a room behind a door, allowing the beam to be retrieved and deployed for a practise session and returned to storage in under a minute.

Specification

Colour: Blue and Pink | Material: EVA foam, plastic, oxford fabric | Overall dimensions: 236L x 10/15W
